BIRBA, with our slogan “A Library in Every School”, already offers consulting services to  the schools in the local territory of Assisi and has helped and is helping parents here to create school libraries for both little and older children 

BIRBA has a service available “The Birba Library Project: parents in the service of books,” which explains step by step how to create a library which makes a significant contribution to school life and is, at the same time, a  constructive example of a positive collaboration between families and schools. 

In fact, we have, to date,  offered our services to many  other groups of parents and many school libraries have been born, thanks to a fruitful collaboration between schools, families, and BIRBA.

We were part of a very ambitious and exciting project called “A Library in Every School: here comes Brown Bear”, in collaboration with the Cesvol of Perugia  (regional chapter of a national agency which coordinates volunteers committed to social service projects), Assisi’s 3rd School District, and a group of active, engaged parents. 

We are looking for friends who can share our passion for and love of books and reading.
