Library
BiRBA lends books
BIRBS is open to its little readers and their teachers every Saturday morning, from 9:30 - 12:30.
Every year, the number of children who come to the library fills us with joy — on an average,. 70 books are borrowed every Saturday.
We are also pleased to report that our little library currently has 1,500 books in its collection!
Readings and Performances
The parents of BIRBA, in addition to overseeing the borrowing of books each week, are constantly engaged in storytelling, reading books out loud and performing them each week to the students of a different grade.
Thanks to these readings, our little readers have not only become more assiduous readers, but their curiosity has grown, and over the years they have begun to borrow a wide range of genres, authors and titles, in the process broadening and deepening their knowledge of books, themselves, and the world.
Meetings with authors
BiRBA also invites authors of children’s books to come to school to give readings and workshops.
The first author to come to the library was Guido Quarzo in 2005 and it was a great success!
Since then, every year, we have given our children the wonderful opportunity of meeting and spending time with authors of some of their most beloved stories.
